2010. The original library, with its distinctive
Wright design, now serves as a lecture hall and home of the visitors
center. Some websites show a different
building, the currently library named after Roux as well (see photos at
bottom of this page). This, however,
is the library Wright designed. Early
planning is underway to build a new visitors center, employing one of the
Wright designs that was not constructed on campus. When the new library was constructed in
1968, this building was renamed the Thad Buckner Building. The round room was renamed the William H.
Hollis Exhibition & Seminar Room.
It is this room which serves as the visitor center. The visitor center displays furniture and
some construction tools from the original construction of the campus. It also has a small gift shop, and guided
tours can be booked there. |
