S.017 – R.P. Parker Residence, 1019 Chicago Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois MAP This is one of three houses on Chicago Avenue, just a half block west of the FLW Home & Studio. Looking at their porches, they are lined up left-to-right (or west to east) as follows: R.P. Parker Residence at 1019 Chicago Ave. (this house), a non-FLW property at 1023 Chicago Ave., the Thomas Gale Residence at #1027 (S.016), and the Walter Gale Residence at 1031 Chicago Ave. (S.020). Some publications had the wrong order, designating the houses respectively as Thomas Gale, Parker, and Walter Gale. Prof. Storrer’s third edition of his catalog rectifies this error.
