Hyde Residence, 10541 South Hoyne Avenue, Chicago, Illinois S.204.2A – Garage LINK TO DISCUSSION OF AMERICAN SYSTEM-BUILT HOMES Two examples of the American System-Built Homes two -story model appear a block apart on South Hoyne, this and S.204.1 (Smith Residence). Stucco and wood trim are featured in its 1917 construction. The garage was designed by Wright, and is given its own number as S.204.2A by Prof. Storrer. Tip for South Side street addresses: on the north/south streets such as Hoyne, the first three digits tell you where to look on the numbered street grid. “105xx” is between 105th and 106th.
