S.430 – Seth Peterson Cottage, E9982 Fern Dell Road, Lake Delton, Wisconsin OFFICIAL WEBSITE Photographed on August 29, 2009. The cottage is available for overnight rentals, as well as public tours. On the day of my visit, the cottage was closed because of a rental. The gate at the road was closed, so I did not enter to view the structure. Some guidebooks spell Seth’s last name as “Petersen” but we see that the sponsoring organization uses an “o.” Books also are imprecise regarding a street address. This is marked with a blue fire department address sign (E9982), shown below (these are common in Wisconsin, but not in other states). Google Maps will get you there with this address; Mapquest won’t. If you set your GPS for Fern Dell Road, just follow the signs and you’ll find it. Fern Dell Road runs approximately parallel to I-90/I-94 south of the Wisconsin Dells and is easily accessible from two freeway exits on either end of the Mirror Lake State Park area. I’ll try to schedule my next visit to the area to coincide with a public tour, and update this page accordingly.

I’ll bet neither of these structures is original to FLW’s design!
