S.267 – Stanley & Mildred Rosenbaum Residence

S.267A – 1948 addition

601 Riverview Drive, Florence, Alabama

This 1939 Usonian sits near the river and is Wright’s only design in Alabama. It originally had an extended “L” plan, and in 1948 Wright added some bedrooms. Taliesin Associated Architects renovated the property in 1970.

In 1999 the Rosenbaum family donated the house to the city, and it opened to regular touring in 2002 (Mrs. Rosenbaum had conducted tours during her final years in the house as well).
