S.193 – Emil Bach Residence, 7415
North Sheridan Road, Chicago, Illinois This beautiful building in the Rogers Park
section of Chicago was renovated in 2012-2013. A neighboring house has been demolished to
make way for a 250-car parking structure to serve the Bach Residence and a
nearby apartment building, both owned by the same person. Tours are offered during the summer season,
and overnight rentals are available.
The house is also available for bookings as dining or meeting space. The home is also partially visible from the
alley. Detached buildings are built in
a similar style, but are not part of the Wright project. Sheridan Road is the main north/south
roadway heading from Chicago to the northern suburbs. There are numerous Wright structures along
this route or within a block of Sheridan. Photographed on May 10, 2012 and February
21, 2015. |

It’s not a garage –
this is a Japanese tea garden added to the property in recent years, and not
designed by Wright
