S.180 – Midway Gardens, Cottage Grove at 60th Street

This legendary dance hall and biergarten was built in 1913 and demolished in 1929. A legacy has remained in the form of the Sprites, and some other architectural details have been preserved. This textile block was photographed on November 10, 2013, at the Art Institute of Chicago.
