Be careful in this area – houses are numbered odd and even on the same side of the street, and it is easy to think the house at 1 Millikin Place (on the corner) is the Wright home you are seeking.  In fact, it is by Marion Mahony – a design she executed for Wright’s studio while Wright was overseas.

The actual FLW design is next door at number 2.  This symmetrical house offers spectacular art glass windows and nice clean lines.

Across the street sits the historic home of James Millikin, after whom the local college is named.

This area is also among the Lincoln sites in Illinois; Main Street is a block away,

and was part of the route Lincoln rode when serving as a lawyer on the “circuit.”
