Thanks to this project, we have the most important rule in architecture, home renovation, and home construction: Keep your eye on the progress of the job, or (A) the architect or contractor will jack up the change orders and drive the project way above budget and (B) he will use that money to steal your wife away. That rule was not contemplated in the early twentieth century, but thanks to Mr. Wright and Mrs. Cheney, it is well known today!
