S.100 – Darwin D. Martin House,
125 Jewett Parkway, Buffalo, New York S.101 – Conservatory & Pergola S.102 – Garage Open for public tours. The gardener’s cottage (S.090) is
being added to the complex. The Barton House (S.103), next door,
is already part of this complex and is used for the preservation
organization’s offices. I visited in
July 2007; renovation efforts closed some rooms, but the tour was still
worthwhile. Interior photography was
not permitted past the reconstructed long porch (pergola). The property underwent many changes over
time. As a result of conversion to
apartments, the original conservatory, pergola, and garage were demolished. They have since been reconstructed. The conservatory (S.101) is a building at
the end of the pergola (the long porch, S.101) opposite the main
residence. The garage (S.102) is at
the back of the property, accessible from the alley.
